Portugal defeated Germany 2-1 in the UEFA Nations League semifinal on Wednesday as Cristiano Ronaldo scored the deciding goal in Munich. The winners await Thursday's winner between the other semifinal between France and Spain. Germany will take on the loser of that match in the third-place playoff on Saturday, with the final taking place on Sunday.

The UEFA Nations League has reached the semifinal stage and brings quite a match with it as Portugal and Germany will square off at the Allianz Arena for a spot in the final on Sunday, June 8. Germany have undergone a turnaround under Julian Nagelsmann and are unbeaten in their last eight matches since getting knocked out of the Euros at the hands of Spain.

World champion Spain will continue its defense of the UEFA Women's Nations League title against Sweden in the semifinals.
