Ed Wilson is an American meteorologist working for 13 News as the chief meteorologist. He joined WHO 13 News based in Des Moines, Iowa in September 1988. Idaho is his native home and being a meteorologist runs in his blood as his grandfather was a meteorologist in WWII.

Ed Wilson is an American media executive. He has been President of Chicago -based Tribune Broadcasting [1] and has held top-level executive roles with Fox Television Network, NBC Enterprises and CBS Enterprises. [2] Wilson sits on the Board of the USO and the Board of Trustees at Southern Methodist University as well as the Cox School of Business.

In September 1988 I was hired as weekend meteorologist and week-day reporter at WHO TV 13 in Des Moines. I soon became the noon and 5 PM meteorologist and co-anchored the Noon show. I have been the Chief Meteorologist for Channel 13 the past 17 years.
